Chhattisgarh Government has distributed 18,000 laptops among final year students of all colleges under ‘Chhattisgarh Yuva Suchna Kranti Yojna” in the Year-2016. CG Government is likely to announce distribution of laptops and tablets among final year students of academic session 2016-2017 soon.
The announcement regarding distribution of laptops among the final year students of engineering colleges and tablets to the final year students from all other colleges, would positively be declared soon; and all the colleges would be supplied with consignments of the electronic gadgets in accordance to the number of all enlisted students by March 2017.
According to information, Chhattisgarh Government is soon to announce the distribution of laptops and tablets for final year engineering students, and the students of final year pursuing their graduation and post graduation in different academic disciplines respectively. After announcement with formal function, the colleges across the State would be supplied the electronic gadgets in accordance to the number of students. The sources said that the government would distribute 80,000 electronic gadgets including 17,000 laptops, especially for final year engineering students with the budget of Rs 80 crore.
As far as now there is no official notice or tender notice made regarding the supply of laptops and tablets on any of the Chhattisgarh Government websites. The same is likely to be released by the 2016 end or by January next year.
After passing out previous year of the degree course, the students are anxious to receive the precious gift by Chhattisgarh Government and they are eagerly awaiting the announcement of their distribution. The students are also contacting media persons to know about the development in the same context at Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chhattisgarh level and also the State Government’s directives in the same context. In the era of fast advancements in the field of information technology, such electronic gadgets are of paramount importance for the students, pursuing career in different fields, for updating themselves regarding various vacancies across the globe, soon after completion of their degree course.
When coming to the Laptop configuration, the laptops are likely to be of 15.6 inches and will be having 4GB RAM (4 GB DDR 1333 MHz RAM expandable up to 8 GB) and 500GB hard disk (500 GB SATA 5400 RPM or Higher) like the previous year. The Operating System is likely to be Linux based or Windows 10 Home.
The laptops will be burned with the Logo of CG Government and other information like ― Presented by – Hon‘ble Chief Minister or Department Name (as desired by the State Government) in the BIOS/FIRMWARE; that should not be removed by any normal/usual techniques. Laptop will have have operational capabilities in English and Hindi language.
The Laptop devices will also be loaded with cloud enabled software with the support of 1 year.
