Before you proceed with the online closure make sure you have –
- No SIPs, Stock Basket, Mutual Funds (MFs), etc. linked to your Demat account.
- No debit/credit balance in your account
- No open positions in your account
- No holdings in your Demat account and Trading account (Pool account)
Step 1: Login to Samco Star portal: https://star.samco.in/
Step 2: On the Top-Right side of the portal click on My Profile.
Step 3: In the first column you can see Samco Account Details, scroll down to the bottom to find the Account Closure button.
Step 4: Once you click on Account closure, will open an online form, validate all the pre-filled data and click on Submit if everything looks good.
Step 5: Now enter the OTP’s received on your Samco registered mobile and email address.
Step 6: Now you get two options to validate your request using Online method (with Aadhaar authentication) or Via Offline Method (Physical Method), to continue with Online process provide your Aadhaar card number and click on Submit.
Step 7: Again, you need to provide your Virtual Aadhaar number or Aadhaar number in the NSDL e-gov (Protean) portal and input your OTP received in your Aadhar registered mobile number.
You are Done! Your request should be processed with 24-72 hours, and you will receive an update on the account modification status.
