How to do USSD mobile banking without internet on any mobile phone

PMO India Mr. Narendra Modi has announced the official launch of USSD services of mobile banking which even works on a normal mobile which doesn’t have any internet option.

With the USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) mobile users usually check their Prepaid/Postpaid mobile balance and credit details.

Now you can check your Bank balance, Transfer Funds, get last transaction details, etc. on your mobile by just dialing *99# (absolutely toll free)

How to enable USSD Mobile Banking Services?

As of now most of the Indian Banks are included in the service list. If your bank is listed below you can just follow the below steps:

Link your mobile number to your bank account.
Dial *99# or use the direct codes below on your mobile phone user the dialer.
You will receive a welcome message from NUUP (NUUP- National Unified USSD Payments). Click OK.
Fill the first 3 letters of your bank against short name or First four letters of IFSC code. (You can skip this step if your use direct code)
Select your desired option for banking like Fund Transfer, Last transactions, etc.

What is *99#?

99# is a USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) based mobile banking service from NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) that brings together Banks & TSPs (Telecom Service Providers). Using 99# service, you as a bank customer can access mobile banking services by dialing *99# from your mobile that is registered with the bank.

Dialing this number *99# is tollfree, but when you initiate any transfer a small fee of Rs.1.50 may be charged per session as per your telecom operator.
