OnePlus 5, 5T gets OxygenOS 9.0.7 update with Screen Recorder feature, several bug fixes [Update now]

OnePlus started rolling out OxygenOS 9.0.7 stable version of Android Pie 9.0 update to its OnePlus 5 and 5T devices. These update will bring Screen Recorder, Quick Reply in landscape feature along with several bug fixes and security patch update. OnePlus has added the same features to OnePlus 6/6T smartphones already in the recent update of OxygenOS 9.0.15.

You can upgrade to the latest version from the System Update option under settings.

The OTA update will be of 480 MB in size for OnePlus 5. Once the download is complete, reboot the device for completing the upgrade.

You will get the latest Android Security patch in this update.

Whats new in OnePlus OxygenOS 9.0.7?

System:

  • Updated Android Security patch to 2019.06 (June)
  • Added Screen recorder feature (Quick Settings – Edit – Screen Recorder)
  • Added Quick reply in landscape (Settings – Utilities – Quick reply in landscape)
  • General bug fixes and system improvements

Gaming Mode:

  • Added Fnatic mode (Settings – Utilities – Gaming mode)

Phone:

  • Fixed issue with the Speed dial

How to activate Screen Recorder in OnePlus 5/5T/6/6T/7/7 Pro smartphones with OxygenOS?

  1. Go to quick Settings (Tap down from the notification bar to see the shortcut icons).
  2. Click on edit (beside the profile photo icon).
  3. Now you can see the new option, drag the Screen recorder and place it in the Quick Settings.

You can also add the Quick Reply from Settings >> Utilities >>Quick reply in landscape.

OnePlus added a new gaming feature called Fnatic, which can be activated from Settings >> Utilities >> Gaming mode.

Many users reported about the disappearing contacts in the Speed dials, this has been fixed now in the above update and the most frequently dialed contacts wont disappear now after 24 hrs.
