Microsoft OneDrive reduces it Free 15GB storage plan to 5GB

Microsoft earlier has already announced that it’s going to reduce the Free 15GB plan. They have given the deadline before July’16 for all users having data more than 5GB.

For new users the data storage limit is now 5GB for Free plan and Rs.123/month for Basic plan with 50GB free storage. From 10/08/2016 onwards OneDrive will reduce all existing users data storage limit to 5GB from 15GB limit. It will also end up the 15GB Camera Roll bonus.

As per the email response of Microsoft:

We believe that these are major changes in the service on which you rely . This may have caused and we apologize for any inconvenience . We 've done a difficult decision , but the decision we will be able to operate continuously in the future OneDrive .

How to retain the OneDrive 15GB Free plan ?

  • The Simple way can be through referring your friends and earn bonus*
  • Get one more Free OneDrive storage.
  • Upgrade to a new monthly plan which starts with just Rs.123/Month for 50GB storage
  • Switch to another cloud storage (Amazon Cloud storage, Dropbox, Box, or Google Drive) – Google now a leader with Free 15GB storage
